OptiMono 100 is an ISO 100 black and white negative film that combines classic monochrome character with modern workflow flexibility.
Built on a new Filmotec emulsion made in Wolfen, Germany, it delivers fine grain, moderate contrast and smooth tonal transitions, producing negatives rich in detail and subtle greyscale tonality. Rather than favouring strong contrast, OptiMono 100 preserves highlight and shadow detail, making it particularly well suited to scanning, darkroom printing and creative post-processing workflows.
Its tonal response naturally renders red tones slightly lighter and green tones slightly darker. The result is flattering, smooth skin rendition in portraits, while vegetation and natural landscapes gain additional depth, texture and tonal separation.
The film‘s balanced contrast and broad tonal range make it exceptionally versatile across a wide variety of subjects. From editorial and fashion portraiture to landscape and nature photography, OptiMono 100 offers a timeless black and white aesthetic with a refined, contemporary feel.

SantaColor 100: Daylight balanced film
Made from fresh Kodak Aerocolor, spooled in Finland
SantaColor 100 is a fine-grain, colour negative film compatible with the C41 process (thus manageable by regular photo labs), giving punchy reds and lush greens. The film has a wide exposure latitude, with acceptable results from ISO 25 to 800 (with pulling and pushing). The saturation is higher than with Kodak's professional Portra series, but less saturated and with a longer contrast curve than Kodak Ektar 100.
The film is flexible and can be pushed to ISO 800 with only minor loss of colour accuracy and minor increase in grain. Shot at ISO 400 and pushed +2 stops in development, the film exhibits accurate colours and an almost grainless look, typically associated with films like Kodak Ektar 100 or Kodak Portra 160.
The cartriges are not DX Coded.
